Head Space Daily Words...
This morning, my boys discovered Scrabble, which made a welcome change to the Wii and i-pod touches, their most common means of entertainment. Their minds locked onto the board and their tiles as they wracked their brains for interconnecting words. Whilst computer games - FIFA '13 being their game of choice - can provoke anger, frustration and an almost addictive need to keep on playing, for fifteen minutes this morning, peace and concentration reigned. Kids only really want to play games based in technology these days but there is still a lot to be said for simple pleasures. When we go camping in France, UNO - a basic card game - becomes all the rage. This morning though, Scrabble took centre stage - and the first word to be put down? You guessed it - Wii...
