As I was
doing the ironing yesterday afternoon, my eldest son came into the room and
when he clocked that I was listening to the Disclosure

instant. Just for that fleeting moment though, I was a cool dad…
Fact of
the day - the term props apparently originated from Aretha Franklin's interpretation of the Otis Redding track Respect. One of Otis’s original lines
was “give me proper respect when I get home,” which Aretha adapted to “give me
my propers when you come home.” This became abbreviated to props and has been
used as a term for respect ever since. Now you know…
