Head Space Daily Words...
Today, I was back in Islington for the first time in quite a while. We used to live in the area in the late 1990s and it always feels like returning to an old stomping ground. Firstly, I had a wander down Upper Street which was a regular hang out for various eating and drinking establishments back in the day. I remember hearing about the death of Princess Diana from a guy working in one of the all night convenience shops after we'd been out raving. After mooching along Camden Passage, and before gazing in wonder through the window of the taxidermists Get Stuffed, I ventured onto Essex Road and popped into Flash Back Records, which I had never visited before. Flash Back is an old school record shop, with vinyl neatly laid out downstairs in various categories. My only regret was not buying the King Tubby 7" Al Capone and One Step Beyond on Blue Beat Records. It was there in my grasp and I didn't take the opportunity. Next time...
