Head Space Daily Words...
I have always thought of chimney sweeps as sooty faced, grimy blokes locked in English Victoriana. Today I had the pleasure of meeting two real life Dick Van Dykes - a father and son duo from the company S.Pearce Chimney Sweep - and there wasn't a dodgy cockney accent in sight(see below for photo.) Amazingly, the art of sweeping has been passed down through the generations, since around 1750, when the company was first established as a family business. Incredible to think that in all that time, the same basic function of sweeping a chimney has hardly changed. Long rods, circular brush. Seeing the brush sticking out of the top of your chimney is quite a thrill - trust me...
