Head Space Daily Words...

My time in between jobs is spent searching for work, being ready like a ninja for the next job and doing things that would otherwise pass me by. Today it was the Man Ray exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. The portraits were obviously excellent but also very evocative of a certain time, when an art and music scene was in full swing in Paris. An actress in one of his pictures was obviously the inspiration for Bjork's hair in her Biophilia project. Another one of his subjects, Lee Miller, with whom he had an affair, went from being a model, to fashion photographer, to front line war photo-journalist. He also pictured a guy called Henry Crowder, a black jazz musician, originally from Georgia, who went on to spend a couple of years in a Nazi prisoner of war camp. Blimey...
