I’ve been stationed at my friend’s
workspace on Clink Street this week. It is close to Borough Market,
Shakespeare’s Globe and next door to the famous old Clink Prison itself. The
couple of huge blue wrought iron doors that you have to navigate to get into
the place, create a resonant clang similar to those of a prison door. You can
hear the buzz of tourists, locals, tradesmen, couriers, shop workers,
businessmen, exchange students, dreamers, schemers, wide boys, wise girls,
students, and old timers outside the window. A real slice of life – which only
increases in intensity throughout the summer. A vibrant hum outside a hive of
activity…
