This jobless freelancer malarkey is not a
bad situation on days like these. Yesterday, my office was Blythe Hill Fields,
with the sun beating down from a clear blue backdrop, in all its red hot glory (see HSD Image.) Not one solitary , single, solo flying cloud anywhere in the blueness. Canary
Wharf towered up in the distance and swinging my view to the left was the Gherkin,
reflecting rays into the City. Projections,
the latest album by Romare played on
my i-pod – an album made for the sunshine (see HSD Tune.) I parked myself on a
bench to get on with some work and after a while, as the left side of my neck
began to fry, I scuttled back to the sanctuary of a local café. As I said, this
jobless freelancer malarkey is not a bad situation on a day like today.
