Caramel, the Connan Mockasin album, was one of my vinyl Christmas presents. His sound has been described as 'psychedelic pop,' which is one of those lazy tags used to classify music. There is definitely something going on inside his head, which could well be psychedelically enhanced in some way but it is not a pop album. Connan Mockasin is following his own hypnotic trajectory, which, if you can make a connection and jump on board, will be an interesting path to go down.
